Per Governor, Cobb Schools will Remain Closed Through End of 2019-2020 School Year

In accordance with Governor Kemp’s guidance and to best prioritize student and staff safety, Cobb Schools will remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Per executive order from Governor Kemp on April 1, 2020 all public schools and colleges in the state of Georgia will be closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

School closures continue to include athletics/sports, extracurricular school activities, proms, school building activities, and trips.

While our school buildings are closed, the education process has not stopped. All staff are working remotely to best support students, including delivering digital and physical instructional resources to students while they’re at home.

We will continue to keep our community updated through this page as the most up-to-date source of information related to the Corona-virus's impact on Cobb Schools.

“We continue to make decisions based first on student and staff safety and in consultation with the Georgia Department of Health and the Governor’s office.” — Superintendent Chris Ragsdale

4-DAY A WEEK DIGITAL LEARNING SCHEDULE

Beginning Monday, April 13, 2020, for all Cobb County students, and for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year, digital learning will occur on a Monday through Thursday schedule.

Each Friday will be an opportunity for students to independently review their progress from the previous week and to catch-up on assignments as needed. No new work or assignments will be presented to students on Fridays.
